Voice studio
Susan brings decades of stage experience into her work as a vocal coach. She teaches technique, breath support, tone, diction, ear training, and repertoire expansion.
She works with students across the genres of classical, music theater, and jazz, meeting each singer in the style that suits their voice and goals. For younger students, she also offers piano instruction alongside vocal training.
Susan offers both regular coaching and workshops.

In addition to technique, Susan also considers character work and the physical presentation of a piece by incorporating breath and movement into her instruction.
Her guiding question for every student is the same one she asks of herself: what is the emotional truth of this moment, and how can I access it in order to share it with my audience?
This approach comes from her own career as a performer and director, creating performances that go beyond technique.
Ultimately, Susan wants her students to know that the hard work of building their craft creates joy, and that joy is something she hopes every student walks away with.
